Recently, our Williamstown team completed a Category 1 Hydraulic Works project in Lismore, New South Wales. Senior Project Manager Adam Lamanna led a team of three plumbers who travelled interstate to deliver the works for our client.
The project involved extensive hydraulic modifications across two separate tenancies, including a vacant space and an operational gym facility. Before construction commenced, our team coordinated site access, permits, travel logistics, and safety controls to ensure the project started efficiently.
Kennedys Group completed detailed slab scanning before undertaking concrete coring at 25 designated waste locations. These penetrations supported plumbing fixtures including basins, sinks, toilets, floor wastes, and vent connections.
Our team then fabricated and installed approximately 80 lineal metres of 100mm PVC pipework throughout the facility. The suspended pipework connected multiple service points in accordance with project documentation and hydraulic requirements.
To maintain compliance, Kennedys Group installed fire protection systems around all new core penetrations. Following installation, the team completed rigorous testing and commissioning procedures to verify system performance and regulatory compliance.
Once construction concluded, our crews thoroughly cleaned the work areas before issuing the final certificate of compliance.
The project required strong coordination and flexibility, particularly as all works occurred outside standard business hours. Despite these challenges, the team delivered high-quality outcomes while maintaining productivity and minimising disruption to surrounding operations.
