At a commercial facility in Breakwater, Geelong, Kennedys Group delivered a complete roof replacement. The team replaced the existing roof, installed 200 metres of new box guttering, and regraded the drainage system to improve water flow. They also installed new internal stormwater overflow points to provide compliant secondary drainage during heavy rainfall. These systems protect the building if primary outlets become blocked. The team reflashed and sealed every roof penetration, creating a durable, watertight finish. The new roof structure also provides a strong foundation for the facility’s existing solar panel system, supporting long-term renewable energy generation.
Keeping tenants operating throughout construction presented the project’s biggest challenge. Careful planning, clear communication, and staged works kept disruption to a minimum. Full perimeter scaffolding gave the team safe access across the building.
