As part of our ongoing work on government facility upgrades, Kennedys Group was engaged to complete hydraulic upgrade works at a government facility located in rural Victoria.
Historically, the town’s water supply was drawn from two 125,000L tanks located on site. These tanks were later decommissioned by the local water authority following a regional upgrade, being handed over for use on site.
During the hydraulic upgrade works, our team discovered that isolating the project’s water supply would also cut off water to the entire township — a critical issue that required immediate attention and strategic planning.
Led by Project Manager Andrew Robson, and supported by David Friend, Markus Spindler, and Brandon Bailey, our team worked closely with the client, local council and water authority to develop a long-term solution that would benefit both the facility and the surrounding community.
The outcome involved the handover of 150 metres of authority-owned water main to the client, which ran directly through the site. Kennedys Group installed a dedicated isolation point, allowing for future upgrades or maintenance without impacting the wider community, ensuring uninterrupted water access for residents.
This project highlights our team’s commitment to collaboration, innovation, and delivering practical solutions that support both our clients and the communities they serve.
