When our client contacted the Williamstown team about significant roof leaks at their Port Melbourne site, the urgency was clear. The facility houses critical machinery that could be damaged by water, so protecting the operation and preventing further leaks became our immediate priority.
Following a full roof assessment, our team identified that the existing flashing and portions of the roof sheeting had reached end of life. With the cause confirmed, we moved quickly to develop a cost-effective repair and replacement plan that would deliver long-term protection across the site.
Between September and November 2025, our Williamstown team carried out the major roofing upgrade across four operational warehouses. Led by Project Manager Adam Lamanna and supported on site by our plumber Michael Michienzi, our team of 12 roofing specialists delivered the works with a strong focus on safety, planning and compliance.
The project included the removal and replacement of more than 1900 lineal metres of flashing and 320 square metres of roof sheeting, and to improve ventilation, the team also installed 12 new vents and fitted 75 lineal metres of backtrays to support the penetrations. Crane coordination was managed throughout to safely lift materials and maintain access to each roof area.
With the site remaining fully operational, careful staging and clear communication were essential to minimise disruption. Our team worked closely with the client’s onsite staff to ensure the project progressed efficiently, safely and in accordance with WorkSafe and EPA requirements to maintain full compliance.
