Throughout 2024 and into early 2025, our Geelong team delivered mould remediation and critical upgrades to a local sporting facility, ensuring it remains safe, compliant, and functional for years to come.
Led by Branch Manager Pat Bryce and Project Manager Stephen Camilleri, the team was tasked with resolving long-standing ventilation and drainage issues that had caused extensive mould growth beneath the subfloor. The scope of work required a detailed and methodical approach to restore the facility to its former glory.
The project began with the removal and disposal of the existing timber flooring, allowing access to the affected subfloor. Once exposed, the team undertook a full mould remediation process, ensuring all impacted areas were treated and sealed. To improve air circulation and prevent future issues, new subfloor ventilation systems and extraction fans were installed and wired into the building’s electrical network.
Externally, the team implemented new flashings along the building perimeter and upgraded the stormwater drainage systems to ensure efficient roof runoff. Further civil works included the installation of new kerbs, pits, and extensions to existing retaining walls, designed to capture and redirect groundwater away from the building.
