Kennedys Group recently completed major roofing upgrades for a client facility in Laverton North, significantly improving natural light throughout the workspace. The completed installation transformed the internal environment, creating a brighter and more productive atmosphere for workers onsite.
Our Williamstown team replaced 2,350 lineal metres of existing fibreglass roof sheeting with new Topglass Kliplok skylight sheets. The upgraded system now allows greater natural light penetration while reducing reliance on artificial lighting during operational hours.
As a result, the client can expect lower electricity consumption and improved long-term operational efficiency. In addition, the Topglass Kliplok system includes a 10-year warranty, providing durability and long-term value for the facility.
Senior Project Manager Adam Lamanna coordinated the project alongside a skilled site team who delivered the works safely and efficiently. The project required detailed planning to manage site logistics, roof access, and material handling throughout construction.
Kennedys Group removed the existing skylight sheets before installing the new Topglass Kliplok system across the roof structure. Our team also managed all site access requirements, permits, SWMS documentation, signage, and safety barriers to maintain compliance throughout the project.
To support safe roof access, stretcher-compliant scaffold towers remained onsite for the duration of the works. In addition, cranes assisted with material handling and debris removal to improve efficiency and minimise manual handling risks.
The project also included the installation of safety fixtures and associated equipment before the team completed final site clean-up and rubbish disposal. Upon completion, Kennedys Group issued the required VBA certification.
