Kennedys Group recently completed major fire service upgrades across government facilities throughout Victoria.
Project Manager Andrew Robson led one of the recent projects in Glen Iris alongside a team of four skilled plumbers.
The project involved removing redundant fire services and installing a new inline diesel pump set. The upgraded system now services five hydrants and two hose reels across the facility.
The site presented several challenges due to restricted access, confined work areas, and uneven ground conditions. In addition, dense underground services increased the complexity of boring and excavation activities.
Despite these conditions, the team completed all works with precision and avoided any service strikes throughout construction. Careful planning and strong communication helped maintain safety and efficiency across the active site.
To minimise disruption, Kennedys Group scheduled all works within the facility’s holiday closure period. This approach allowed the team to complete the project safely while maintaining the required construction timeframe.
