From October 2024 to late January 2025, our Williamstown team successfully delivered a large-scale commercial subdivision project in Campbellfield. The works focused on critical gas line and fire service upgrades, ensuring the facility’s infrastructure met the latest safety and operational requirements.
Led by Senior Project Manager Matthew Micallef, with support from Site Supervisor Lachlan O’Donnell and key plumbing team members Tyson Cross and Matt Heath, the team worked efficiently to complete the project while maintaining minimal disruption to daily operations.
The scope of work included comprehensive service scanning before excavation, as well as barricading and traffic management to maintain site safety.
The gas line upgrades involved cutting, sealing, and rerouting a high-pressure gas line, installing a new copper gas line to the meter location, and securing all connections with rigorous testing.
While the fire service upgrades required saw cutting and excavation of asphalt and concrete, installation of 250mm PE pipes and sluice valves, and reconfiguring hydrant and sprinkler ring mains, all of which were tested to meet compliance standards.
With careful planning, the subdivision project was delivered on time and to the high standard Kennedys is known for. Thank you to the Williamstown team for completing another successful project!
